GLORIA GRATI (born in 1972)
Gloria Grati has practiced ceramics ever since childhood, in the art studio of her father, professor Mihai Grati, also a ceramic and glass artist (Republic of Moldova). In 1991 she graduates the “Alexandru Plămădeala” National College of Fine Arts in Chisinau, majoring in ceramics; currently lives in Timișoara, Romania. She graduates from “Ioan Andreescu” Art and Design University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, Ceramic-Glass-Metal specialization in 1997 and continues her Master studies in Visual Communications at West University of Timișoara, Faculty of Arts and Design in 2002. She teaches at the Fine Arts High Schools in Alba-Iulia and Timișoara and since 2004 up to the present she is a teacher at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the West University of Timișoara.
Her professional activity is represented by numerous participations, mainly in ceramic works, at exhibitions, salons, biennials, art symposia, both national and international art camps, starting in 1990. Since 2020 Gloria Grati is a member of the management board of the professional Romanian Union of Visual Artists, Timisoara branch.
