Bérénice Courtin is a multidisciplinary artist and artisan from Paris, based in Geneva.
She focuses on textile arts, audiovisual and performance. Benerice researched for two years the story of her grandfather Kazimierz Gaca. He was a Polish resistance fighter during World War II, working with the ENIGMA machine.
For her last project she made balaclavas and knitted suits that are connected to a midi controller device that creates sounds when you touch it. It is made by a hacked knitting machine in which codes are hidden, inspired by encrypted messages.
