Alexandros Raptis

Born in 1989 in Greece, Alexandros Raptis works in the performing arts. His main areas of interest are theatre direction, light design and music composition. He obtained his BA in Performing Arts at UNATC “I.L. Caragiale” in 2012, and then attended the Master of Sound & Light Design at the same university. Since 2014, he creates lighting design or music for performances, jazz concerts and theatre. His most recent directed performance is The Stranger (after Y. Mavritsakis’ Summoning the Charm) at POINT. Other shows he has been involved in are Slaves by M. Manolescu and Plastic by M. Mayenburg (d. Cristian Popescu), Daughters and Ramanenjana by Simona Deaconescu and The Summer When Mother Had Green Eyes by T. Țîbuleac, Nok!Nok! and An Tan Tina by Nicoleta Lefter. He lives and works in Bucharest, but is also involved in projects in other cities and countries. He makes electronic music and is the drummer of MIDPOINT. He is currently working on some interactive installations, trying to combine his passion for technology and sensors with sound and light design.

Andrei Cozlac - video artist

Andrei Cozlac (b. 1986) is a video artist and Lect. D. at the George Enescu National University of Arts, Iasi, Faculty of Visual Arts, Department of Photography, Video and Computerized Image Processing, and collaborating professor at the Media Department of the Faculty of Arts in Romanian Language in Târgu Mureș.
Experimentalist, interested in the latest multimedia technologies, he has collaborated in numerous independent visuals, video-mapping, live projections projects.
He started his VJ activity in 2005, working in the Drums.ro and DGW crews, having also collaborated with major music festivals in the country and abroad. Andrei has signed the video design of several theatre plays directed by Silviu Purcărete, Radu Afrim, Alexandru Dabija, Charles Muller, Theodor Cristian Popescu, Eugen Jebeleanu, Ioana Paun, Octavian Jighirgiu, Florin Caracala, etc. He has created numerous interactive and non-interactive video installations and has set up the AV//Sattelites project with which he has performed on the same stage with artists such as Arms and Sleepers, Sun Gliters, Brazda lui Novac, Yvat, etc.
In 2016 he placed 3rd in the international video mapping competition Light Up, Iasi, and in 2017 he returned as a participant in this competition and won 1st place.
In 2017 he receives the prize for video mapping in theatre at the National Comedy Festival, and in 2020 he receives the special U.N.I.T.E.R prize for video mapping in theatre at the UNITER gala, 30th edition, and in 2021 and 2022 he exhibits together with artists Felix Aftene and Lucian Dan Teodorovici in Berlin and Paris, year in which he receives the second U. N.I.T.E.R for creativity in video design and video mapping in the performance “The Ploughman and Death”, directed by Silviu Purcărete and scenography by Dragoș Buhagiar.
At the same time, he also won the award for best video design at the International Theatre Festival “Theater at the Crossroads” in Serbia, Nis for the performance “The Ploughman and Death”.
At the end of 2022 he receives the “Cultural Merit” award at the event Valorile Iașului, Valorile României, for his contribution in the field of visual arts.
